Pour is a complete black with a small tan head. Aroma is a good dose of roasted malt with a little coffee in the backround. Flavor is likewise. Starts out with a decent roasted malt then leaves a little coffee and burnt grain on the tounge. A decent little stout.

Bomber - pours a dark brown with a reddish tint - soapy lace - black ipas are strange beers - sometimes the characteristics meld together well, and other times it simply tastes like someone made a 50/50 blend of a stout and ipa that has a hard time finding balance - this one falls into the later category - the aroma is promising, with loads of earthy hop character, dry woody notes, mild acidity - in the flavor it is much less impressive - the roast and dark malt character struggles to find balance with the assertive hops, with mixed results - black malt bitterness clashes with the hops rather than compliments them - odd acidity on the tail end - chocolate sweetness near the finish tastes out of place - some good things here, but many flaws.

Sample at the Beer ’N Rock Band tasting on 08/27/2010: The beer is a clear reddish-amber color with a thick and fluffy beige head that burns away slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Caramel malt aroma with a bit of oak. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt and caramel, mild hops and a hint of bourbon. The finish is malty with a lingering sweetness left over. Decent beer overall.

Pour is a lemonaid lookalike with a large white head. Aroma is faint grain with some citrus and spice. Flavor is lemongrass with some grain and a slight funk toward the end. Deffinatly on the lighter side but enough for a try.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma is full of espresso notes with an underlying dark chocolate that gives a bit of a mocha note. Flavor is a nice combination of chocolate and espresso but really not picking up much else.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is of raspberry although kinda artificial. Flavor is a weak wheat with just a touch of berr at the end. Every brewer makes somethings like this but I don’t know why.

Bomber - pours a hazy light gold - lively body, bright white lace - aroma of toasted grains, wheat, sweet banana, clove, apple, a bit of basement character - a bit heavy on the phenols in the nose, really, but still decent - fizzy mouthfeel, watery texture through the middle - a bit of acidic tang up front, followed by light phenols and medium-strong toasted grain character - a wee bit of peppery hops on the tail end - finish is dry, with lingering grain and light chalkiness - nothing stand out, but not as bad as I expected.
