Bottle at DLD. Pours a dark brown with small tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong bourbon, oak, dark fruit, tobacco. Slick body, raisin, fig, tobacco, wood, alcohol burn in finish, very good.

Almost Exploded Can - Popped Upwards, but luckily not Punctured. Upon opening a bunch of carbonation, head and dark coloured beer shot out and got over the walls and sink, but luckily I was prepared and didn't loose a bunch of product. De ep dark brown coloured body with a slightly hazy, opaque dark brown and almost black glow, all with a nice three centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat nicely  Aroma of deep and roasted malts with a lot of robust and rich caramelised sweetness and even some burnt notes and a touch of molasses, with a lot of coffee also noticeable here and some lighter lactose and even some elements of brine and smoke in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich robust burnt and roasted malts dominate with a lot of flavours and range and showing a fairly smooth sweetness and alcohol burn (which is noticeable) and some more pronounced coffee, specialty grains and even lactose here than I was expecting. Aftertaste shows a lot of bitterness, with the coffee and molasses notes by far the strongest with a little bit of residual sugars and graininess coming through at the end. Overall, a nice option for the style, and while this is rich and full of flavour, it's still relatively easy-drinking and low-ish in terms of alcohol and especially sweetness. I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized can purchased from 49th State Brewery itself in Denali Park, Alaska on 25-June-2021 for US$3,49, purchased while with my family in Alaska this summer, sampled on the train from Washington to New York to head right back to Alaska, on 04-October-2021

Very clear golden coloured body with a very thin, single to perhaps two centimetre tall pure white head that shows some small bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of bright yeast, bread, subdued caster sugar, some honey and a dash of coriander seed and very mellow curacao notes without too much depth and no real alcohol pungency, astringency or anything of the sort - seemingly easy-drinking. Light to Medium-bodied; A welcome surprise to such a beer for the style with a very easy-drinking malt and sweetness with a light kick of coriander seed and dryness from the grain, but no pungency from metals or alcohol here - this one is fairly straight-forward with a light hit of oranges and curacao. Aftertaste is soft with a light sweetness from honey and caster sugar with a light dose of malts and effervescence, but the yeast and pungency is very mild, in a great way and this tastes nowhere close to 8,5 per cent. Overall, a very nice tripel with a great profile, easy-drinking quality, but still showing the sugars, malt and complexity that you'd expect, just in a smaller package that has been seemingly aged for a year or so - but this one is fresh! I sampled this 65 cL bottle, purchased from Brown Jug in Fairbanks, Alaska on 23-June-2021 for US$8,99 sampled in my cabin here in Seward, Alaska on 30-June-2021.

24/6/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers! Pours almost black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, dried fruits, light salty oyster notes. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium plus body, slick texture, very soft carbonation. Rich, roasted finish. Enjoyable.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 17/06/21. Black with a good sized lasting khaki head. Nose is dried fruits, light ashen tones, charr, bitter roast, dark chocolate, light air of the sea to it all. Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, cocoa powder, toffee, brown sugar sprinkle, molasses, light roast. Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stout.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to SHIG. A dark cola brown coloured pour with a fine mid tan head. Aroma is nutty brown malts, hazelnut, earthy roast, hint of smoke, light milk. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, earthy brown sugars, toasted nuts, some lactose sweetness and some earthy roast in the finish. Decent.

Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Bittersweet finish. Quite liked this.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to SHIG. A clear dark orange amber coloured pour with a small halo of off white head head. Aroma is semi sweet, banoffee pie, toffee, ripe banana, earthy grains, light tangy apple. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, banoffee, ripe banana, toffee, oily, brown sugars. Palate is semi sweet, oily, lowish carbonation. Decent. little flabby.
