If you like barley wine, ignore my numbers. Slight sweet aroma, no hint of what lurks within. Off yellow cloudy and just ever so slightly brown. Alky flavor impact on the first swig. Quite a shock to the girlie taste buds. Some carbonation, surprising for a heavy barley wine like this. Strong syrup effect that coat the inside of yer mouth. Candy and alcohol soaked fruit is ever present. Too much! If you like barley wine, you better look up this special brew. .

Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and appearance. Very light taste. Hardly any detectable aroma but perhaps I smell slight hints of a beery yeast. Friendly and enjoyable. Easy to like. Some carbonation but not much. Over all a very decent lighter ale. Well mannered and rates quite high on the enjoyability scale. Nice easy session brew.

Darker than your ubiquitous pale yellow american lager. A little more on the brown side, but not much. Creamy off white head. Slight fruity aroma but relatively undetectable. Earthy initial flavors and very friendly. Hay in this flavor complexion. No detectable bitterness. Friendly and mild, very enjoyable. Well mannered finish.

Cloudy yellow. Looks like an unfiltered wheat or whitbier. I guess no smell is better than bad smell. No aroma to speak of. spicy initial flavor, may I say coriander? Bitter back of throat malt bite builds thru the session. This bitter bite carries on over to the finish. Overall, a decent saison but comes off like an american wheat that is slightly bitter.

Cloudy and pinkish in color. Smells like fresh blueberries. Very thin foamy head. Does have some berry flavor but just barely. Not too bitter. Pretty friendly, has some earthy tones. Decent carbonation. Finish is OK, not too bitter and easy to get along with.

Quite an experience. Big black pour. Has a head like chocolate mousse. Aroma is mild but roasty. Flavor is dark and roasty also. Barely any carbonation. Mild coffe and extinguished campfire charcoal taste. Quite bitter on the finish, but not as bitter as most imp stouts. I would say this is more like a dry stout. A little more bitter on the finish than this lager lover can appreciate.

Brownish and slightly cloudy. Creamy off white head. Very slight aroma but not enough to describe. Perhaps there is a little roastiness in there. At first seems a little bitter, then that mellows out immediately. There are some earthy tones there too. Rather light hearted. A medium hop or malt bitterness continues to build during the session. This manifests itself on the back of the throat. More bitter than other alts I’m familiar with.

Cask aged version. Dark pour, but you can see a lot of light coming in around the edges... very thin looking. Not much head. Aromas are of peat, smoke and a little whisky. Mouthfeel is on par with the visual. Very thin. Flavor is similarly fairly light. For a stout this certainly doesn’t have a lot of punch. For a cask-aged stout it is downright boring.

Draught. I can see why this is called a mild, but the coffee like aromas and such took me by surprise. Arrives a deep brown color (like walnut) that has a thin appearance to it. Aromas are of coffee and topsoil. Really light ABV (3.8% if I recall), and flavor is similarly mild, in spite of the dark, stouty flavors. I don’t know that I’d sell the house for another, but it is interesting.

Draught. Dark pour with a chocolatey-coffee aroma. Flavor is about the same, with a touch of peat and earth added in. I don’t think it was anywhere near 6% ABV, it came across as thin, both in texture and umpf. Had a fairly nice creamy texture.
