Bottled (thanks to my parents!). Hazy amber colour with a small white foamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, grains, some slight spicy tones with mild earth. Flavour is spicy, mild toasted tones, sweet grains, herbs and some nutty tones. Surprisingly watery feel to it, considering the 6 % abv.

Pours dark chestnut brown, topped with a medium sized and nicely lasting tan head. Medium malty aroma, biscuity with quite some woodiness and some nuts, gently roasty. Gently malty sweet, a bit of caramel with just a hint of bitterness in the finish. Light body with very sparkly feel, lots of carbonation. A decent one, really.

Ok, I think I have the right beer here. Just labeled Alexander, it’s a Scotch Ale, brewed by Unibrau. No the great though, and a different label, but who knows? If I’ve got this wrong let me know. But the truth is this beer isn’t anything to write home about. Clear brown pour with soapy dense head. It’s all malt, some mild sweetness with a mildly bitter finish. I’d say nothing to write home about, but I’m in Greece and I’m writing....

Bottle bought in a Thessaloniki supermarket. Pours a slightly hazy amber brown with a large but soon dissipating off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, pine and some light veg. Fairly heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, quite thin, soft carbonation. Finish is light, sligtly sticky.
