Pine and lots of perfume like a broadway dressing room. Pours orange with decent head and lacing. A fair amount of booze. Bitter with some boozy sugar. Can.

Some pine, a little citrus. Pours hazy golden without much head or lacing. Not much here like across the Mississippi from Memphis on the Arkansas side. Tap at Broadway brewery on Nashville.

Tons of coffee here like the night before a final exam. Black pour with decent head. Some roast, caramel. Bittersweet finish. Tap at Flying Saucer in Nashville.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a snifter. Hazy light orange with medium off-white head. Aroma is nice grapefruit, medium body, medium caebonation, and pretty good lacing.

12 oz can. Clear dark mahogany pour with a large khaki head and excellent retention. Decent lacing. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Great roasted malts taste. Similar to a stout, but smoother. Really good.

Tap at Flying Saucer Emporium, Memphis. Colour is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, some grain, some hops and malts. Better than average American pilsner but nothing compared to German pilsners.

Tasty IPA, but not enough black. Citric hop nose, no head, and it still looks appealing because of that gorgeous brown-black color. Slight roastiness, lots of semi-tart hops on the middle, and the fade is a long bitter slide into IBU clinginess. Again, solid IPA, but it doesn’t quite soothe the dark malt jones.
