Can. Pours clear dark mahogany with an average light mocha colored head. The aroma is nutty, malty, sweet and toasty. The flavor is nutty with almost a smoky touch delivered over a light roast malt bitterness ending in a dry finish.

Cloudy pale yellow color, dense white head. Aroma of rotten lemon, distant feet. Taste is softly sour citrus, raw bread dough. Easy drinking.

Pours a brown-black color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate aroma. Light-bodied with a roasty coffee and malt character, with some milk chocolate in the background. The finish is creamy with a mild coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours a pretty brown hue, but the nose mostly keeps to itself. Starts with a bitter burst of hops, then rolls into a roasted center with the slightest of apple-tinted lager notes. Finishes with a mocha vibe piggybacked by aspirin-like hoppy fade. Thin feel, weak taste, made out of whack by the bitterness. Not overbearing, just a bit much for such an easygoing beer.

Thin, closer to a porter than a stout, with an ugly pour that doesn’t bode well. Good thing the beer tastes decent, with a big mocha front that fades into a moderately sweet, berry-tinged middle and a bitter chocolate finish. Mostly coffee, though, and not particularly strong coffee at that. Decent.

Bottle. Pour inky black, small creamy dark brown head, dissipates to a ring with decent lacing. Aroma is rich, molasses initially, then breaking to bourbon, vanilla mocha, hints of coffee. Flavor is fairly sweet, light plus bitter, rich bourbon mocha vanilla notes with light molasses and hints of coffee. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. This is a hell of a solid BA RIS. I was totally surprised.
