Bottle picked up from Plodine supermarket Orebic, Pelješac peninsula Croatia and consumed at Camp Sunset 5km north of Primošten, Sunday 7th September 2025. We walked to/from our campsite, Camp Sunset along the coastal path to Primošten a nice 12km stroll. Pours deep orange almost amber with a mid sized sticky white head. Pleasant soft mouthfeel, but straight away I'm thinking, you know this is another beer that's a little lacking, a touch thin even. Taste is a little fruity caramel mix with a light/middling bitterness, I was hoping for more of the latter and a tad more character. It's finem

We walked to/from our campsite, Camp Sunset along the coastal path to Primošten a nice 12km stroll. Pours hazy orange with a mid sized sticky white head. Nice soft mouthfeel, tangy and with a little honey edge, a little sweet maltiness, some grassy hoppiness, the goldings are a solid and reliable hop. This is nice, a solid golden with just enough bitterness to keep it interesting, but very drinkable.

Had this at Peškafondo, Primošten, Sunday 7th September 2025 after a walk from our campsite, Camp Sunset along the coastal path. Pours gold, good clarity
, large busy and frothy white head. There's a tiny bit of yeastiness in suspension and a few tiny brown flecks on the surface. Taste is decent but not quite Pils, there is not so much in crispness, bitterness is muted, but otherwise fine, refreshing with a little fruitiness.

Bottle picked up from Plodine supermarket Orebic, Pelješac peninsula Croatia and consumed at Camp Sunset 5km north of Primošten, Saturday 6th September 2025. Pours hazy amber with a large white head, pleasant mouthfeel. There's a little bitterness but perhaps not as much as expected. Fruitiness is there but as the colour was suggesting this was a little more of a malty IPA with caramel and toffee dominant. It's a mid table IPA, nothing out of the ordinary but absolutely fine.

Bottle picked up from Plodine supermarket Orebic, Pelješac peninsula Croatia and consumed at Camp Sunset 5km north of Primošten, Saturday 6th September 2025. Pours orangey with a large white head, lively pour, actually a very lively pour, good mouthfeel, soft but buzzy. Nice bitterness, there's a bretty edge, Loz picked up on this initially and yea she's bang on and wow does that elevate this to something different as aI guess that it wasn't intended. Other than that a little citrus and herbal notes.

We visited here Saturday 6th September 2025 after a 50-60 min walk from Camp Horizon Sunset situated further north along the coast. This place is actually a wine bar with a huge wine selection, it also does breakfast and light bites, it's got a slightly classy feel, it's located on the sea edge with the back in the square at the entrance to the old town. They have eleven craft beers from Zmajska, Garden plus 3-4 other beers I'd not heard of. I started with a Sibenik Mihovil but sadly it was infected so I had to send it back. We had to wait a little while to be served simply because the guy was rushed off his feet and forgot about us. It's a lovely location and very chilled vibe, I would suggest to sit on the sea side as it's much cooler temperature wise.

Bottle picked up from Pivnica Medvedgrad Samoborska last Friday and consumed sat outside Frank at Camp Riviera Makarska this Friday the 5th September 2025 after another walk from the campsite into Makarska. Pours dark brown with a brief head of slim off white film, excellent clarity, looks good. The taste is good there is toffee, dried fruit, caramel etc but like many barley wines the sweetness can be a bit overwhelming. It's a good beer, but the hoppiness is muted and all told it's a bit too sweet for me. Barley wines are a tricky style to pull off, I guess I prefer the big American style ones such as Bigfoot but English style can be excellent but it's just a bit more difficult.

Bottle picked up from local Tommy supermarket here in Makarska. Had this sat outside Frank at Camp Riviera Makarska Friday 5th September 2025 after another walk from the campsite into Makarska. Pours a hazy warm gold with a mid sized off-white head. It's a little bit vegetal on the nose, a touch sweet, light bitterness, some maltiness, actually scrub the sweetness comment, there's not much at all. It's just about ok, it just feels a bit messy.
