On tap at Hops Beer & Food Factory, Makarska, Croatia, Thursday 4th September 2025 after a short walk from our campsite on the edge of town. Pours hazy yellow/gold, with a small/mid sized white head. Great aroma, very tropical with nods to mango and perhaps there's a little pineapple also. More tropical with touches of citrus and less resinous than I'd have hoped for the style. Surprisingly lean and easy drinking for the abv, cannot believe it's 6.5%, it's very easy drinking.

On tap at Hops Beer & Food Factory, Makarska, Croatia, Thursday 4th September 2025 after a short walk from our campsite on the edge of town. Pours gold, good clarity, small/mid sized white head. Light fruitiness and hoppiness is subtle. Style wise this could offer a more crisp bite and perhaps a little more dryness, that said it's not too sweet, it's very drinkable and a decent beer.

We visited here, Monday 1st September 2025. It's located in the old town about half way up on one of the right hand side streets if you are heading from the bus terminal. It's located in one of the cool alleys and the seating is like most in this town in the alleys i.e. tight to one side with each one slightly above the other, however there is also plenty of seating inside. Beer choice wasn't amazing but we were really pleased and by the standards of the town it was excellent, there were a few new to us from Croatia and one from Slovenia and both served in correct glassware. Also some solid German offerings from the likes of Schneider Weisse and then a couple of Belgian offerings from Orval and Chimay. Prices were a little on the higher side but still not too bad. We liked it here, service was quick, staff friendly. They have eight taps and forty bottles/cans. This is probably the best place on the island, it's probably the only craft beer place on the island.

Bottle from supermarket opposite Camping Vela Podstrana, Lumbarda, Korcula, Croatia, having this sat outside Frank Wednesday 3rd September 2025 after another day in Korčula Old Town. Pours hazy gold with a mid sized white head, soft mouthfeel almost a little creamy edge, taste is a bit hit and miss, I can see where they're going with this but it's not really working for me. Bittersweet works ok, fruity, light tropical fruit, ok.

Bottle at Bistro Maestral, Lumbarda, Korčula, Croatia, Wednesday 3rd September 2025 after another day in Korčula Old Town. Pours mid gold with a slim/mid sized white head, dull and really uninteresting lager, mouthfeel is ok, appearance is ok, but flavour and aroma disappointing, taste is industrial.

Bottle picked up from a local supermarket and consumed Tuesday 2nd September 2025, after a 7.7km walk to Korchula Old Town. We're sat outside Frank at Campeggio Vela Postrana, Lumbarda. Pours light/mid amber with an off white head, nice maltiness, a little sweetness, some dark fruits. Solid if unexciting Doppelbock, tangy backend. Fine.

Bottle at Cep & Chilli bar, Korchula Old Town, Tuesday 2nd September 2025, after a 7.7km walk from Lumbarda. Pours yolky yellow in colour with a mid sized sticky white head, a little bristly fruity bite, there's a little bit of perfume, soft mouthfeel, easy drinking, Loz prefers this, I prefer the Pulfer.

Can at Cep & Chilli bar, Korchula Old Town, Tuesday 2nd September 2025, after a 7.7km walk from Lumbarda. Pours orange in colour with a mid sized white head, a little herby but with citrus and a little bit malty, medium body, very drinkable, some toffee maltiness. Nice.
