Bottle picked up from Drankgigant.nl webshop, Vlissingen, Netherlands. We had this Friday 1st August 2025. We're still listening to Snapped Ankles but this time it's an earlier album, Come Play the Trees, still cooking/preparing Masala Fish & Chips with Minty Peas from BBC Good Food August. Pours hazy warm gold with a huge billowing creamy head of foam. Well rounded beer, clearly from the Duvel stable with that unmistakable signature taste but more punchy and robust. The aroma is fresh and with clear malty notes, in the mouth smooth and deceptive, the slight increase in abv is noticeable but it's still very easy drinking. Light fruity, the Saaz-Saaz and Styrian Golding hop combination is clearly still doing its thing. Warmer and softer not as bitter as the original, very good.

Large PET bottle, had this Friday 1st August 2025. We picked up from the brewery a few weeks ago after a couple of days away in Šumava, we stopped at Kvilda. We're listening to Snapped Ankles - Hard Times Furious Dancing and cooking/preparing Masala Fish & Chips with Minty Peas from BBC Good Food August. Pours hazy warm gold with a small/mid sized white head white head, in fact carbonation a little bit on the low side. Floral notes on the nose, light honey, malts and there's also a suggestion of sweetness to follow Pleasant aroma, Flavour following a similar trajectory, but a bit forgettable, again think it bit more carbonation might lift things a little. It's ok.

We visited here Thursday 12th June 2025 in the company of Jackie and Simon. We were staying close to Kings Cross (Travelodge) and this wasn't so far too walk, however I think that it is technically Clerkenwell, Faringdon or Finsbury area looking at the map, so there will be plenty of public transport options. It is an attractive building on a corner, with a few benches outside, we were inside. Inside it is a rectangular layout with bar ahead and to the left (if you come in via corner). There is a solid selection of cask (maybe 4-5) and keg, probably 10+. We had Burning Sky and maybe Kernel but I think that there was a decent selection of UK craft beer. Service was quick, staff very friendly and prices very fair considering this is London. We spent a couple of hours here, played a travel version of 'Ticket to Ride' and really enjoyed it.

We visited here Thursday 12th June 2025 in the company of Rhys and Sana. We walked from the The Dovetail, Faringdon/Clerkenwell after a lovely afternoon with Jackie & Simon. I understand that it's close to Highbury & Islington station but of course we walked it, it is just off the main rd. which wow I hadn't realised is actually the A1, it is on Cannonbury Lane. It was busy when we arrived and getting served was something of a chore, but that wasn't the fault of staff who were working flat out, it was simply a lovely day and busy. Beer choice was great, nice selection of cask and keg, it was a lovely old place with bar off to the left as you enter, difficult to get a good grasp of the building as it was so busy, however we liked it and would gladly return again when in London.

Can courtesy of Marko, cheers Marko. Had this at home Saturday 26th July 2025, after a lovely couple of days away in Plzen, it's still raining here but not so heavy. We've had my homemade Chilli (Thomasina Miers recipe) in wraps, so Enchilada style, listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul show on 6Music. Pours warm hazy yellow/gold with a large white head, super soft mouthfeel, pillowy soft carbonation. There is a big banana and toffee hit, so bannoffee I guess, the alcohol is surprisingly well masked, it's there and you can feel it in the mouth but it's very well integrated. The other wheaty aspects show but more subtle, so there is clove but it shows on the finish, there is also a little summer stone fruit touch. This is lovely, super easy drinking, like it.

We've got Fins homemade Chilli (Thomasina Miers recipe) in wraps, so Enchilada style, listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul show on 6Music. Pours light silvery/gold with a mid sized white head, there's a little weed on the nose but not overpowering. Actually taste seems more weed than aroma, a little buzz across the tongue, lager characteristics are there, medium bitterness, yeah dank hoppiness. Fine but not completely my cup of tea.

Can courtesy of Marko, cheers Marko. Had this at home Saturday 26th July 2025, after a lovely couple of days away in Plzen, btw it's absolutely lashing it down with rain. Pours hazy yellow/gold, large white head, citrus but also a summer Mediterranean herbal touch. Nicely bitter but not aggressively so, easy drinking, nice mouthfeel, would like it to be on the resinous side, but regardless it's a very good Westy.

On tap (Loz's beer) at Zlatá kráva Bandaska, Pilzeń Saturday 26th July 2025 after a great day at Ravensfest yesterday. Pours light gold, almost clear, just a chill haze, white head, nice looker. Fresh, clean and with a little bite, a touch dry, mildly citrus. Refreshing beer, straightforward and with no whistles and bells, I like it and could happily session this beer.
