Can picked up from Drankgigant.nl webshop, Vlissingen, Netherlands and consumed sat outside Frank, Plattling Wohnmobilstellplatz after a pizza in town at Emporium. Pours amber with a large white head, thick in mouth and hoppy but also big malty sweetness, this is good and follows the American style quite well here.

Can from Beer Republic, webshop Breda, Netherlands and consumed at home Saturday 1st May 2021. We sat outside in front of the Wood Oven, we were under the front porch area as it was raining heavy, we had Fish Burgers with white Cod and Smoked Salmon, with a Cream Cheese and Sweet Mustard Cream and a Egg and Caper Relish, also Loz made some excellent Ciabatta Rolls, we listened to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6Music. Pours murky light yellow/gold in colour, with a white head. Hoppy but a little bit thin, light spice/yeast showing and whilst it's fresh and pleasant enough with a light zippy edge, it is otherwise a little bit boring. Hops and fruitiness are very muted, it's ok

Can picked up from Drankgigant.nl webshop, Vlissingen, Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 3rd August 2025 listening to our Ulmobstfest Playlist we're baking again as weather is just frequent showers on and off I've finished the Chocolate and Red Gooseberry Brownies started yesterday, Loz has made Blackberry Cookies and is sorting out her sourdough again. This is a little bit disappointing, certainly not as fresh and spiky as I'd hoped and really missing a trick on the bitterness, depth of flavour and crispness, all of which are sadly lacking. Soft mouthfeel, a little thin, a touch of sweetness, some spicy hops, all told it is not my thing.

Can picked up from the Museum Beer Shop in Plzeń and consumed at home Saturday 2nd August 2025 listening to Das Lumpenpack and now Tocotronic as Loz is baking a Strawberry and Thyme Bakewell Pie and I'm now making Chocolate and Red Gooseberry Brownies. Very similar to the previous Zichovec West Coast Pilsner in terms of appearance and not a million miles away concerning taste. Pours light straw colour with a little haze with a mid sized white sticky head. I'm getting very little on the aroma, maybe a little bit grassy. Bitterness is like the previous beer, restrained, hops are shy but I guess there's a lot to say for things done subtly and not in yer face. There's a little bit of citrusyness, some summer herbs. Fine.

Can picked up from the Museum Beer Shop in Plzeń and consumed at home Saturday 2nd August 2025 listening to Steintor Herrenchor - Oh Scheise Gefühl as Loz is baking a Strawberry and Thyme Bakewell Pie and I'm about to make Steak Tartare Burgers. Pours light straw colour with a little haze with a mid sized white sticky head. Aroma is a little floral with a hint of citrus. Taste is quite sweet which is my biggest bugbear with this beer, there is a lasting bitterness but it's restrained. Nice soft mouthfeel, good beer but the West Coast thing puzzles me as does the bitterness which could be better.

Bottle picked up from the brewery in Modrava in and consumed at home Saturday 2nd August 2025 listening to Theodor - Holocene as Loz I'm making Pickled Gherkins. Pours mid hazy gold with a mid sized white head. Aroma is a bit of malt and a little honey, perhaps some hops but not so much. Taste following a similar trajectory, soft mouthfeel, okay, there's a little bit of bite late on. Mid table mediocrity.

Bottle picked up from the brewery in Kašperské Hory and consumed at home Saturday 2nd August 2025 listening to Theodor - Holocene as Loz is making shortcrust pastry for a couple of hiking pies. Pours dark brown with a small beige head, however this is the third beer that I've had from Kašperskohorský and this one like the previous two would benefit from a little more carbonation. Nose is caramel and, yeah that's it caramel. Taste is also caramel and cola, mouthfeel is ok but a bit more carbonation would improve it, there is a little bit of chocolate and yeah it's okay but not really doing it for me.

Can picked up from the Museum shop in Plzeń last week. We had this Friday 1st August 2025. We're listening to some new tracks from Scott Lavene we had a fantastic Masala Fish & Chips with Minty Peas from BBC Good Food August. Pours dark brown with a creamy light beige head. On the nose there's dark bitter cocoa, chocolate and raspberry. Flavour follows a similar trajectory, with light raspberry. Smooth in the mouth with a decent creaminess, yeah carbonation is good. Raspberry tanginess saves this from being too much of a disappointment, but the base beer is lacking and doesn't provide an adequate canvas for the fruit to truly shine. It's not bad, but I was really hoping for a lot better.
