750ml bottle from Goblin Wines, Marrickville. Orangey tinged red amber colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top, and aroma of apple, grape, funk. Taste is tangy, tart, appley, red wine, oaky, with farmyard funk and drying earthy tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying tart & tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

330ml bottle from BWS Rockdale Plaza. 8.2%. Clear pale pink colour, short-lived fizzy head and aroma of berry, apple, suphur. Taste is sweet, berry, appley, syrupy, cardboardy, with alittle tartness. Medium bodied, high catbonation, sweet finish. Quite sweet.

440ml can from Dan Murphys, Hurtsville as Kopperberg "Hard Apple" Cider 7.0%. Clear pale yellow colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of apple, papery, sulphur. Taste is sweet, apple flavour, sugary, paper, citric. Medium bodied, high carbonation, drying sweet sugary finish. Pretty bad.

375ml can from Porters Liquor, Bexley. Gluten Reduced. Reddish tinged dark brown colour, bubbly tan foam head and aroma of malt caramel, orange citrus, hops. Taste is sweetish malty, roasted, tangy, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, with earthy citrusy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying earthy hopped bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

375ml bottle from Rull Orchard. Red-orange colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, fruit, funk. Taste is sweet, fruity, red appley, woody, funk hint, with some tart acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium drying fruity finish. Nicely drinkable.
