440ml can at Tønne, Leicester. Hmmm a white stout. Don't normally like these but I will give it a go. Middle of the road gold and clear with a ring of white head. Aroma of plastic and weirdness and maybe a smidge of cheap chocolate. Sweet taste, some more cheap chocolate, some spice, missing the raspberry. Medium body weight with carbonation on the heavy side. This does nothing to quell my belief that white stouts are proof that God is dead.

Keg draught at Tønne, Leicester. Lightish gold, hazy with a small ring of white head. Lemon aroma, some wheat, a little bit of underripe apricot. Tartness on the nose. Taste is a very basic sour, touch of apricot, light funk. Medium body, heavy carbonation. Dialled way too far back.

Keg draught at Tønne, Leicester. Light lager gold, clear with a small white head and visible carbonation. Some fruity aromas: grapefruit apple, orange, white grape. Little bit of biscuity malt. Sweet taste, with a touch of hop bitterness. More orange and grapefuit flavours. Drying finish. Light body with medium of carbonation.

440ml can as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Light hold, hazy, almost no head. Melon aroma, some pink grapefruit, an overload of hop. Bittersweet taste, more melon, pink grapefruit, pure booze, some lemon. Long overhopped finish, but I love it. Big thick body, carbonation held back. Intense.

330ml bottle from the Offie, Leicester. Slightly dark gold, hazy with a full white head. Slightly astringent and milk aroma, some raisins and figs. Ambrosial taste with sweet sugary notes, some light citrus and pudding fruits. More residual sweetness on the long finish. Full body, medium to heavy carbonation. An impressive Tripel, very happy to have discovered it.
