jjsint Profile - Brewver

Keg draught at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Dark reddish brown, opaque with a the most lovely little pinkish beige head. Malty aroma with plenty of cherry and a touch of smoke. Sweet taste with a subtle mix of cherry, tonka bean and a touch of smoke. Light bitterness in the finish. Weighty body with carbonation on the heavy side. Just incredibly incredible, and maybe one of my favourite of the Tonkokos I have tried.

Keg draught at Martin Bros Micropizzeria. Light cream/yellow colour, hazy with a thin layer of white head. Lots of gentle Citra aroma, some white grapefruit, lemon zest, a little pineapple, tied together with vanilla malt. Similar taste profile, sweet with soft citrus, more vanilla, fading to a short balanced finish. Light body with spritzy carbonation. I really dig this one.

Keg draught at Martin Bros Micropizzeria. Ripe mango orange colour, thick hazy with a small uneven white head. Getting a little mango, sticky apricot jam, easy peeler orange pulp. Sweet taste, not overpoweringly so, with a tart edge.more mango and apricot here, not getting so much of the marshmallow or vanilla but it is still lively. Light to medium body with carbonation on the heavy side. Wonderful.

Keg draught at Martin Bros Micropizzeria. Light yellow/gold and hazy with a very small white head. Sugary aroma with a touch of tropical fruit dank hop. Taste is full of the dankness but it never overpowers. Sweetness fades to a good hop bitterness quite quickly. It's very good in many ways but doesn't quite hang together well enough to be amazing.

Keg draught at Martin Bros Micropizzeria. Dark purplish red, hazy with a small uneven pink head. Aroma of fresh blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, red grape. Taste is tart with a gentle berry sweetness, touches of claret. Tartness remains in the long finish but never overpowers. Weighty body with medium to heavy carbonation. Great stuff.
