After 14 years on Ratebeer it's time for a change of scene! I enjoy all styles of beers, accept for the crappy industrial lager stuff. Not especially keen on the race for 70,000 ticks. More interested in discovering new flavours and experiences. Cheers, Brian

75 cl bottle picked up at a Meny supermarket. Hazy golden colour with a dense white head. Fruity aroma with limes, grapefruit, grasses, and stone fruits. The taste is bitter. Light to medium body - fine given the abv. Drying fruity finish. Fine with food. Fair.

33 cl bottle poured in to a snifter glass. Near black with a few tanned bubbles on top. Sweet aroma with vanilla, oaked notes, subtle bourbon barrel, dark malts, and grasses. The taste is sweet. Full body. Sweet finish with lingering dark malts. Not extreme, but flavourful and well rounded stout.

33 cl bottle poured into a snifter glass. Near black with a thin tanned head. Sweet aroma with dark malts, coffee, liquorice, and toasted bread. Complex, layered barrel ageing - bourbon, rye, and rhum. Some wooden notes and a fairly thin mouth feel for a 8.0 % abv. beer are the drawbacks. Fine, complex, a slow sipper.
