Olut Profile - Brewver

Central Samuel Smiths pub just behind the bus station and Town Hall in an older not too remarkable building, but it has plenty of history as a beer house. Multi-roomed, traditional, and sporting a no mobiles to encourage chat sign, this is the local place to get your fill of the Sam Smiths regular brews if you've still got a few to seek out and try, although I'm pretty much only in re-rate territory now but the dark mild here was decent enough. It's probably the cheapest place in Ossett to get a pint too, still less than £3 in 2026 for some options. The ground floor bar faces the main front windows with room for a few small tables and stools at the counter, but a more comfortably furnished room is beyond, and behind is the pool table area, all made open plan walkable throughout. A pleasant genuine locals spot on my most recent beer tour of the town.

Ossett Official Pub Walking Tour Beer#15. Last one of the day in and around Ossett, but first time experiencing the Luna hop in this clear golden coloured ale. It imparts plenty of tropical and exotic fruits in combination with Galaxy and there's lots of flavour. It's quite easy too for five percent.
