Poppyland Bottles At Home #3 of 3. Bought at the brewery in 2024. Black with a soon dissipating head. It's an ordinary stout with light roasted malts infused with a floralness, all a bit bland tasting to be fair.

Poppyland Bottles At Home #2 of 3. Bought at the brewery in 2024. Traditional styled ale with the first sip feeling like a mild, appearing a clear dank amber colour. The distinctive English hops do develop as you progress providing hints of chocolate malt and caramel, but a crisp bushy-floral bitterness dominates, which doesn't reach appealing levels, although the heritage of the brewing here can be appreciated. Towards 'dark ale' by modern standards despite the name.

Poppyland Bottles At Home #1 of 3. Bought at the brewery in 2024. Healthy hazy deeper orange appearance. Beautiful farmhouse style with a very light spice, with its soft water also enhancing the supping experience. A mild bready sweetness is also a subtle plus here too.

Northern Monk Cans Night At Home Beers #3 of 3. Black with a small off-white head. The chocolate and maple are about equal in measure, and as it doesn't have a very sticky-sweet texture its flavours are complimented by it slipping easy down the palate relative to its strength. This is well-hidden too in taste, and it's a flavoursome stout.

Northern Monk Cans Night At Home Beers #2 of 3. Very mildly hazed pale golden colour. This one is a little overbearing, but that's because the rhubarb and custard and pretty much spot-on in this specialist pale brew, in aroma and taste. It's texture is crisp and very drinkable.
