Beer Number #4 tried at the Clitheroe Beer Festival 2025 and the last of an unusually short list of dark beers I want to try here this year. This one is brown and hezy with a hoppy first, tropical fruit second character, but flavoursome, against a dark malt base.

Beer Number #3 tried at the Clitheroe Beer Festival 2025. Going through the dark beers I want first at this festival. Dark brown and fairly regular to begin with, some berry notes amongst the roasted, with a smooth texture too. Its liquorice does come to the fore in its aftertaste.

Beer number#1 tried at the Clitheroe Beer Festival 2025. Started with the strongest and possibly darkest too at the festival. Very smooth and quite milky too, subduing its strength in taste, although not so in aroma.

Time Capsule beer with events on this day as I drink this apparently peanut butter stout, but with hardly any of that taste including the President of the USA saying only a meeting between him and the Russian premier can solve the Ukraine war; a man is arrested over arson incidents surrounding the British PM's external properties; & Peru's Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzén resigns. Feels quite a regular imperial stout, although the strength is only mild in taste with milky roasted malts still more dominant. The aforementioned peanut butter as well as the marshmallow take a back-seat here. The latter of these two is more evident.
