Olut Profile - Brewver

Deadication beer to an alternative Papal figure. Maybe not an anti-hero, but certainly the Anti-Pope in Avignon, Benedict XIII died on this day in 1423. Clear blonde ale with a creamy head, an afterthought after the beer festival in the town as it's a new real ale venue for me, but happily this is a very easy session pale with a hopped character.

Strong Mild from North Riding Brewery

Beer number #12 tried at the Skipton Beer Festival 2025, the last and only dark beer today too. Strong in name, although not particularly in taste or mouthfeel, which is smooth. Dark malt taste, which lingers.

Stewarts Barley Wine from Tigertops Brewery

6.5/10 — Appearance 7 Aroma 6.5 Flavor 6.5 Texture 6 Overall 6.5

Beer number #11 tried at the Skipton Beer Festival 2025. Certainly a little more hop in this than your average Barley Wine, but sticky-sweet all the same, and a full-bodied notable strength.
