(Cask at Lyric, Soho, London, 2 June 2025) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of apricots, citrus, orange peel and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, caramel and a balanced herbal/earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Wel balanced bitter. Nice one.

(Bottle, vintage 2018, as "Cuvée Tradition") Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with red apples, barnyard, dried apricots, orange peel and spices. Fruity, tart taste with notes of dried apples, hay, apricots, orange peel, a touch of cumin, funky yeast and a generous, and slightly harsh, acidity in the finish. Medium body, medium-dry. Well balanced and tasty cider with a generous funky acidity. Very nice.

(Bottle) Pale amber colour with brief, foamy, off-white head. Fruity, woody nose with notes of peat smoke, oak wood, apricots and heather honey. Malty, woody taste with peat smoke, whisky, oak wood, apricots, toffee, butterscotch and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Really woody and peaty, hardly balanced, but still quite tasty. Quite nice.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 1 June 2025) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with brief head. Fruity nose with green apples, apple skin, citrus and yeast. Fruity, tart taste with notes of green apples, apple skin, a touch of vinegar and generous tannins in a harsh, dry and tart finish. Medium body, dry. Bone dry with a generous acidity. Quite nice.

Fruity, tart taste with pears, yellow apples, grass, citrus and a generous acidity in the finish. Medium body, just a slight sweetness. Tart and refreshing. Quite nice.

Nice craft beer taproom in the railway arch just north of Vauxhall station. Failry spacious, with a long bar on one side and lots of seating in the rest of the bar. 30 taps of mainly craft beers/cider (around a handful ciders). Good service. Last visit was on a Sunday evening, very calm. Good beer place in a area with few other decent alternatives. Actually not too far away from Cask Pub & Kitchen though.

(Draft at Mother Kelly's Vauxhall, London, 1 June 2025) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee and some liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, coffee, dark bread and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Solid and well balanced porter. Very nice.

(Can) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of oak wood, bourbon, dark bread, coffee, cacao, prunes, hazelnuts, soy sauce, treacle and vanilla. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with notes of dark bread, coffee, dark chocolate, oak wood, bourbon, vanilla, prunes, nougat, soy sauce, peppercorns, treacle and a balanced coffee bitterness in a sweetish and slightly boozy finish. Full body, sweet. Rich, powerful and fairly well balanced for its strength. Very nice.

Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, dark bread, liquorice, oak wood, whisky and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. The wood is not quite as prominent as in their other barrel aged beers, but definitely there. Not perfectly balanced, but rich and tasty. Nice one.

Fruity, tart tase with notes of citrus, lemon, peaches, herbs and oak wood. Low bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty, woody and complex, with a generous acidity. Very nice.
