(Bottle, Brasserie Cantillon, Brussels, 19 Sep 2025) Dark red colour, almost purple, with frothy pink head. Fruity nose with notes of grapes, red wine, blood orange, black-currant and barnyard. Fruity, tart taste with grapes, red wine, pink grapefruit, red fruit and barnyard. Hardly any bitterness. More than medium body, dry. Complex, tart and tasty, with a generous grape character. Excellent beer!

(Bottle) Hazy reddish amber colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus peel, honey, tropical fruit, spices, grapefruit and bread. Malty, hoppy taste with citrus peel, bread, honey, tropical fruit, resin, grapefruit and a generous resiny/citric bitterness in a warming finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Strong, hoppy and dank. Powerful, but in good balance. Very nice.

(Bottle, Brasserie Cantillon, Brussels, 19 Sep 2025) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, grapes, barnyard, yellow/green apples and yellow plums. Fruity, tart taste with citrus, yellow plums, apples, grapes, and barnyard. Hardly any bitternes. Medium body, dry. Tart, tasty, rich and complex. Excellent beer.

(Draft at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 18 Sep 2025) Hazy pale orange colour with brief head. Fruity nose with orange peel, mandarin, herbs and yeast. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of citrus, orange peel, mandarin, yeast, herbs, a touch of barnyard and a mild herbal/citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and quite a fruity saison. Nice one.

(Draft at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 18 Sep 2025) Red colour with foamy pinkish tan head. Fruity nose with notes of black-currant, blueberries, strawberries and red-currant. Fruity, tart taste with black-currant, red-currant, blueberries, red fruit and a touch of barnyard. Hardly any bitterness. Medium body, dry. Tart and fruity, with lots of berries. Very nice.

(Visited Sep 2025) Nice, modern beer bar a couple of blocks north of the central station (not really in the city center). Modern, fairly basic, interior in black and light wood. The bar takes up more or less one wall. 12 taps, good mix of local, Belgian and international craft beers. Great selection of bottles and cans as well. Swift and friendly service. Great place, well worth a slight detour.

(Draft at Beerlovers Bar, Antwerpen, 18 Sep 2025) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with black coffee, cacao, oak wood, whisky, peat smoke and a touch of peppers. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, oak wood, whisky, a slight chilli bite and a balanced roasty bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, tasty and warming with both whisky and chilli coming through well. Very nice.

(Can) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, dark chocolate, maple syrup, caramel, liquorice, a touch of treacle and pecan nuts. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with notes of chocolate truffles, espresso, caramel, liquorice, maple syrup, pecan nuts, a touch of cinnamon and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, tasty and warming (on a midwinter's eve). Very nice.
