pours clear brown, settles very dark brown, with a light brown average head.
aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and licorice notes from the malts, coffee grind notes from the malts, alc. well hidden in aroma. very very faint sort of flowery note - could be the rose petals or could be hops.
flavor is roasted malty with a high complexity and a serious level of roastiness that is still rounded and flavorful, quite a bit better than I had expected because of the rather thin look to the beer. the roasted notes extend far into the aftertaste and ends the beer very well indeed. i get tobacco, coffee, chocolate, wood, licorice notes, probably all from the malts. Old fashioned Imperial Stout, but really really well done flavor wise. They nailed the bitter ending perfectly. alc. well hidden.

cloudy yellow to maybe bit golden, huge beige creamy head.
very unusual color for a stout.
Aroma does have raspberries and white chocolate - comes off as light, but not thin. reminds me of raspberries flødeboller.
flavor is raspberries, fruit stones, white chocolate, fruit stone bitterness, toffe malts, grapefrut peel like hoppy bitterness (i think).
The color really confuses me. While the beer is pale, the flavor is more towards a pastry fruit ale or similar, but smooth like a stout. Easy drinking and the bitterness keeps it away from being cloying.
