2017 bottle tasted in 2025. very integrated aroma with notes of boutbon, wood, salt licorice, vanilla, roasted malts, coffee, faint charred wood, faint hard roasted malts. the beer has settled exceptionally well. there might be a very faint sort of hint of oxidation.
flavor is extremeley smooth and velvety salt licorice and wood and roasted malts and bourbon, the other notes really makes the bourbon shine, end is not super strong but there is a nice long lasting roasted malty end, that seems to go on forever.

half litre can (yay) juicy and citrussy
art design on can is flashy and looking good.
very juicy aroma, almost like fresh pressed orange juice, fainter malty and yeasty dough like notes. also pine needles and a little bit of grapefruits
flavor is balanced and quite refreshing with an adequate dose of bitterness that is well balanced to the citrus fruitines of the flavor. malts are crisp and very slightly sweet. Aftertaste is quite herbal hoppy bitter in a good way.
pretty solid neipa that have a bit more edge and bitterness than usual, i like my ipa's to end bitter so that's a big plus.

amber to red brown, light brown to red brown head.
aroma of bourbon, erasing-rubber, moddeling-clay, toffee, fine sweet syrupy note, a kind of dried dark fruits, but not very fruity if that makes sense. vanilla, wood. quite complex. BA barleywine aroma, lots of various notes.
flavor is dried dark fruits, honey, bourbon, vanilla. quite sweet. not that malty, sweetness is more like mead or honey.
After a lot of sips i decided to raise flavor a bit. the sweetness is more malty complex than i first noticed. makes it more geniunly barley wineish. probably the rye that confused me.

flavor is oranges, grapefruit, dry almost nutty malts, mild aftertaste, juicy, hoppy grapefruit juice.
At 6% it is impressive how much flaver they managed to stuff into this one. i would have guessed 8+%

at fridge temperature, refreshing and unusual aroma of cucumber, lemon and then of course pine and grapefruity hops crisp malty note that is really really fresh and sparkling, it's like a light craft brew or homebrew that was just brewed and is served at its prime. extremely refreshing aroma. warming up a bit i begin to notice oranges and perhaps a faint hint of exotic fruits.
flavor is lemon, yeasty notes, fruit peel. very well balanced and very tasty although not with the usual hop notes, the lemon like note is hoppy, from hops, so it's not like the beer is sour or anything. water treatment is very crisp, almost mineral watery. Refreshing beer that tastes like an excellent homebrew. Almost too flavorfull for food pairing, but could make wonders if paired with food that can take it. Flavor and aroma is unusual for a craft beer, but they created a really good unusual (i guess) recipe and executed well on it.

Exotic fruity juicy hoppy aroma, also some more traditional herbal hoppy notes, but quite sweet and exotic fruity. Flavor is bitter hoppy, good pine into the aftertaste, grapefruit, sweet ripe exotic fruits, hoppy fruity sweet and bitter, i personally prefer sweet malty and bitter if it has to be sweet. ripe exotic fruits isn't my favoriute. good palate and good neutral malts with a good body. The beer is in fact all very good, just not my kind of flavor.

dark brown to black, baeautiful brown head with whiter areas.
aroma is roasted malts, fainter smoked malts, wood, charred wood, hard roasted malts. not sweet at all but still velvety , well blended and non-burnt. super fine aroma. also finer notes similar to espresso coffee, dark chocolate.

flavor is sweet from the bourbon, roasted malts, oak, licorice, faint coffee like note, end is roasted malty and slightly charred woody, far far end is dark caramelly, more wood, hints of bourbon.

pretty solid flavor. A great imp. porter and not at all pastry - old scool, and well done at that.
