Bottle pour from WillRunForBeer--thanks, Brian! An opaque, inky black with min viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon and mild vanilla and cocoa. Taste is strong bourbon over dark fruit, mild vanilla. Smooth, thick texture, full bodied soft carbonation, finish as taste with spice.

Can pour from the brewery. Cloudy dark yellow with thin head, good retention and fair lacing. Aroma is strong orange/citrus. Taste is strong orange creamsicle, malts. Frothy texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Good citrus and malt balance. Good.

Bottle pour. Opaque dark brown with thin ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is strong black molasses, toffee, mild dark fruit. Taste is strong caramel, dark fruit/raisin, molasses. Smooth, thick texture, flat-to-soft carbonation and finish as taste. Belgian on the dark side. Pretty decent.

Bottle pour at Camp Tasting Finale. Clear, dark brown, maple syrup quality. Aroma is burnt wood, mild tart fruit. Taste is burnt wood/earthiness, mild tart fruit. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. If I were out in the wilderness alone, I would drink burnt sticks, otherwise, hell no!

Bottle pour from Total Wine & More, West Hollywood. Opaque, dark brown, with ring of head. Aroma is waffle cone, vanilla, oak, bourbon. Taste is strong dark fruit, fig, vanilla, milder waffle cone. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Pretty much what they were going for. Stays true after many years.
