500ml bottle at Grasmere Tea Gardens, in Grasmere, England. From the bottle. Pours a mostly clear yellow-gold color with a white head and good retention. Great lacing too. Pale malt and light bread aroma. The taste follows the nose: Smooth and clean pale maltar and a nice bready finish. I'm not getting any of the apricot or lime or peach notes that the label mentions, but it's still a very good golden ale. Medium body and medium carbonation. Low bitterness.

Draft at the brewery in Liverpool, England. It pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a small white head and good retention. The hazy has a hoppy and bitter aroma. I'm not getting any juicy notes in the aroma. No juice notes in the flavor either, but the hops and the bitterness are soft and more strange than the aroma suggests. Unfortunately, there aren't enough juicy notes to offset even the light bitterness and hops. Medium body and medium-light carbonation. Light to moderate bitterness.

Draft at the brewery in Liverpool, England. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a small white head and good retention. Honestly, I smell no aroma at all. This is actually one of the better pale ales I've had. It's a citrusy malt flavor up front and a light bitter finish. Very low hops flavor too. Medium body and medium-light carbonation. Light bitterness. Pretty good for the style.

Clean and smooth and slightly sweet pale malt flavor with very low bitterness in the finish. Super clean and crisp and very easy drinking. Light body. Medium light carbonation. Low bitterness. I like this. It's very smooth and drinkable.

Festival pint draft at the DoubleTree hotel in Bath, England. It pours a crystal clear yellow-gold color with a tiny white head and fair retention at best. Standard pale lager aroma. This is a very straightforward lager. It certainly tastes like an American lager. It's smooth and clean. Very light sweetness. It's just a very good, easy-drinking lager. Medium-light body and medium-light carbonation. No bitterness. I like this beer even though it's nothing special.

Cask pour. Pint draft at the Sleigh Alehouse in Bath, England. It pours a crystal clear amber color with a light beige head and very good retention. Light caramel aroma. These cask beers are smooth, but they're also "British cold," AKA not cold. Tastes like a light pale ale with very light caramel notes and a semi-bitter finish. It does have great lacing. Medium body. Low carbonation. Light to moderate bitterness. Okay, but a little more bitter than I prefer. It is smooth and clean, but it's not my favorite flavor profile.

500ml bottle from Waitrose, in Bath, England. Pours a crystal clear orange-bronze color with a thick beige head and excellent retention. Great lacing too. Light hoppy aroma. Mellow caramel malt flavor with very faint hoppy notes in the finish. Sweeter and more flavorful than any bitters I had on tap in England. A nice, mellow, flavorful, easy drinking beer. Medium body. Low carbonation. Low bitterness.

500ml bottle from Waitrose, in Bath, England. Looks like a liquor bottle. Pours a pitch black color with a tiny beige head and fair retention. Very little lacing. Very faint roasted aroma. Medium dark chocolate flavor with some vanilla/lactose notes, and barely a hint of coffee (thankfully). Very smooth and creamy. Not very roasty. Medium-heavy body. Very low carbonation. Not bitter. Better than I expected. And the 6.5% ABV is invisible. Good beer.

12 oz. can from the Fall Legends variety pack at Publix. Pours a crystal clear bronze color with a thick beige head and very good retention. Decent lacing. Dark malt aroma. Sweet dark malt and caramel flavors with a smooth, clean, rich finish. Almost a dessert beer. Very Marzen-like. Really good and really repeatable. Medium body. Low carbonation. Not bitter.
