Keg at Kerrera, Guildford. Gold. Slightly opaque. Aroma had light resin and a big fruity streak. Dank. Light-medium bitter with a fruity streak. Some spice. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Nice enough but a tad bland and underpowered for what is supposed to be a West Coast IPA.

The brethren provideth. A murky pondwater brown. Lively head shoots its load and promptly disappears. Aroma is sour, boozy, but with a malty dark doughy core. The flava also had a sour start. Bitter. Rum. Vinous. Almost tanin. Underlying fruit. A hint of molasses. It's certainly sour, although there is a counterpoint to it that provides some restraint. A closing boozy warth. Light. Surprisingly thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable Sour... Barley Wine combo.

The brethren provideth. Inky black. Thick foamy tan head. Aroma is bitter - coffee. Berry edge. Caramel streak. Sweet and boozy. Fruity. Before a burnt caramel sweeps through. Definite salt. The fruitiness is a bif part of it. Develops peripheral smokiness. Thick. Oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Certainly a big interesting Impy Stout but to sweet for this chap.
