330ml bottle from Noz. Pours a golden amber, white froth atop. Ooh that's bad for a tripel. I doubt there's any triple yeast used here, a mild leathery caramel richness coming into play. Those elements are ok I suppose.

330ml bottle from Brasserie du Pays Flamand. Hazed blonde appearance, good white head. Mushy bananas coming to the nose upon first sip, but not appearing to taste, very creamy mouthfeel.. interesting lime and associated exotic hints.. I dare say it's this new Dolcita hop that's responsible. Interesting but not achieving max potential.

Draught @ Kaffee Bazaar, Ypres. My 4,000th brewery! Pours a slightly misty gold, thin sheet of white foam. Lovely welcoming wild nose with a shadowy fruitiness. Delicate depth, light but characterful fruity accents with a brisk wintery sour prickle. Really good.

Draught @ Kaffee Bazaar, Ypres. Pours unclear dark with a foamy tan head. Decent BIPA.. interesting flavour profile.. can pick out a bit of liquorice, dark candy sugar perhaps, brown malt, dark malt.. finishing dry. Like it.

Tall thin 500ml bottle from Noz. Pours a burnished golden brown, good white head. Nicely seshy Weiss with just enough creamy yeast to satisfy.

We happened to be visiting someone a few streets away so decided to call by. The brewery looks quite impressive driving past on the main road, but when you arrive at the entrance it's a quaint old brick building with old trucks in a barn out back. The cafe was closed (open weekends only) but the shop was open. Incredibly small, but packed with everything duvel, here you can buy everything from a Duvel amplifier to a Duvel burger press, plus a small selection from Duvel-owned breweries and two of the latest barrel-aged releases. I picked up the Brasil rhum BA duvel for 26 euros.
