Smart farm shop type deal which we passed when skirting around Strasbourg. We didn't know at the time that it was connected to the fruit farm Rothgerber, but we bought some apples which tasted excellent, quite sweet and very fruity, and some of their cider which was also very good. There's also a range of Alsace beer, maybe 7-8 breweries, plus some regional wine, in addition to a large range of other farm shop type stuff plus a cafe. Not a bad stop if you're passing.

330ml bottle from Rothgerber farm shop. Drunk at our apartment in Bergamo. Misty golden amber pour, white head. Good old school vibe, malty caramel, a bit of pine, nice bitter edge.

330ml bottle from O Bon Jardinier, Ingersheim. Drunk at our apartment in Florence. Pours a misty pink, moderate carbonation. Crisp acidity, mellow raspberry with subtle blackberry.. nice sharp bite to it. Not bad.

Draught @ Chianti Brew Fighters Pub, Florence. Pours a murky reddish amber, off-white head. Immediately becomes clear this is either a bit old or is the remnants left in the line overnight.. bit weak, a touch sour.. no need to taste any more. Shame. Rated kindly.

Draught @ Chianti Brew Fighters Pub, Florence. A sip of Sophie's. Pours very pale yellow, small white head. Light indeed, thin bodied, pale malt.. some distant farmyard hints coming into view.. a little peculiar but generally ok.
