4th Sep 2026: 75cl bottle from ID Stock. I'd rated the wrong beer last time (the beer which came up from the barcode) so tried again. A month past BBD. Seems more flavoursome than last time, fuller sweetness, more pronounced nelson sauvin notes.. how strange what a little age can do to a brut

25th June 2025: 75cl bottle from Carrefour as 1128 Brut Bier. Misty yellow pour with a short-lived white head. Gentle floral nose, some nelson sauvin hop notes. Certainly quite dry as befits the Brut tag. Tastes a little empty on the palate though welcome distant, slightly faint, Nelson Sauvin notes waft through. Never understood the appeal of brut beers and this does little to sway me.

75cl bottle from the brewery. Cracked after a painful arthroscan on my wrist. Clear gold appearance. Honeyed lambic nose. Wild lambic air hits you first before a wave of honey, cider elements lick the palate but rarely leave a mark. Crisp and impactful.

75cl bottle from Caves Berigny, Rouen. Pours a golden amber, loose bubbles atop. Aroma of harmonised caramelised fruit, hits the sweet stewed fruit doux profile square on the nose, soft palate with subtle tannin and mild mirage-like cinnamon. Great doux.

330ml bottle. Dark brown pour, stable off-white head. A bit rough.. unbalanced choppy brown bread, rye, sweetened caramel, dark brown sugar and cola residue. The original donker profile seems to have been distorted somewhat to get here. Needs a bit of work.

75cl bottle from the producer. Pours a clear gold, thin white sheet atop. Confident sweet perry nose. Flavour profile presents a defined schloer-like fruitiness, apple sweets, measured acidity, fine spritz. Decent overall.

330ml can from Noz. Pours a hazed blonde, large white head. Nice enough IPA, some fresh floral fruity flourishes.. brilliant mosaic showcase, soft sweetness throughout, disappeared quick.
