Draught @ The Imperial, Hastings. Pours dark, smooth beige head. Pleasant roast and nutty chocolate nose. Grainy malt to the fore.. roasty in the right places.. decent but not much of a nitro feel to it at all. Marked down for this, otherwise an enjoyable stout.

A handsome old neighbourhood pub on the main road into Hastings centre. Not a huge amount of seating, all tables full on our visit just after New Year, though there are some benches outside when the weather's nice. Beer brewed on a very small set-up next to the bar with a tall fridge of cans for take-out, around £4 each. Quite a large tap-list, they must be brewing every day on a kit that size. Beers I tried were decent. Pizza oven next to the bar. We got a margarita to share which was ok, but hadn't quite risen properly, whether that was the yeast or oven temperature. Nice place overall.

440ml can picked up at The Imperial, Hastings, drunk at our Premier Inn. Pours a hazed gold, white head. Gentle hop nose. Fairly light, lacking body.. but nice enough as a light seshy pale, some pleasant fruity hop shades.

75cl bottle shared with Eric in Eecke after driving back from the UK. Pours a hazed pale gold, loose white head. Mild yeast nose, moderately sweet, comes across more a blonde than a triple. Ok overall.

440ml can thanks Mike for squirrelling this away for me. Shared with Eric in Eecke. Cloudy pale complexion, small white head. Aroma of mild yeast. Very modest Belgian wit notes to taste, ok hoppy pale overall but nothing like I expected.

Draught @ Bierbuik Mont Noir. Pours a clear varnished mahogany, shiny in the glass, pure white head. Deep caramelised nose. Flavour profile seems quite mild and a touch subdued for 12%, tastes more like 7%. Good wheat wine, not too rich but nice enough.

Draught @ Bierbuik Mont Noir after a 6 mile circular walk. Pours clear gold, pure white head. Gentle triple yeast on the nose. Gentle triple sweetness to taste, quite light bodied. Pleasant enough, quite easy going.
