On tap at Stiefel Pub Otoya, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma has a rather unpleasant hop expression: seems sort of stale, sweaty, maybe a touch of pine in there. Flavour is downright unpleasant, with stale, vegetal notes, some bitterness, dry biscuity malt on the underside. Is that all due bad hops, or is this just not fermented properly? Either way, I wouldn’t say this even passes the bar for being drinkable.

On tap at Stiefel Pub Otoya, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals subdued grassy hops, straw, and soft biscuity malt. Flavour is lightly bitter, with gentle grassy hops, straw, and crisp biscuity malt. A bit too herbaceous, almost vegetal, but it has decent bite. Not bad.

Absolutely atrocious-quality beers. We stopped in for a quick flight (comes with 4 beers), for a whopping 8000 CRC (about 18 USD). The pilsner was okay, but the other 3 beers were all stale and/or infected. Both IPAs tasted like stale band-aids and the imperial stout was sour (an obvious infection). For such a price, one might expect clean beers. Nope. Terrible quality beer. Also, the beer was served much too warm, at least for the pils and IPAs. Don't waste your money here.

Coda: I posted a similar review on Google too, and the bar owner responded humorously, which I share with you folks:

"It seems you're a troll, going around criticizing beer rudely. The beers you tried have international acclaim, and your criticisms are baseless and subjective. If you don't have money, you shouldn't complain or worry about drinking beer; drink Bud Light instead. Let go of the resentment and live your life. All your comments are negative about life and the world."

On tap at Capital, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma has pretty pungent jasmine character—pretty impressive. Flavour is likewise very pungent on the jasmine, with a smooth, biscuity/straw-like malt base. Clean, vibrant. Solid lager.
