Can from Hopduvel. Cloudy black, stable, frothy, dark beige head. Intense aroma of maple syrup, burnt pancake, espresso, Kahlúa, chocolate sauce, dark fudge, pecan pie, vague black olive. Taste has sweet dark chocolate, maple syrup, pecan & caramel turning towards a deep bitterness of espresso with a touch of vanilla and umami black olive. Bitter earthy & peppery hops in the finish, slightly herbal & woody maple, ongoing bitter coffee roast and bittersweet dark chocolate; a firm dash of Kahlúa-like alcohol. Full body, oily-syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Rich, full, decadent, brings me right back to San Diego.

Can from Gedeelde Vreugde.
A: hazy yellow, small, white head.
A: melon, grapefruit, orange rind, pineapple, pear.
T: sweetish pineapple, pear, bitter grapefruit, dough.
F: floral hops, bit spicy, juicy citrus peel & pineapple.
P: medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Bit 'rougher' for a NEIPA, but well-made.

13 June 2025. At Hal 16 (Dok Brewing). Cheers to the Teamleader crew!

A: clear orange, no head.
A: overripe peach, grape, plum & apricot, leather.
T: sour apricot, grape, funky leather, wood, herbs.
F: tannic wood, leather, grape skin, warming sherry-like alcohol.
P: medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
LIke a very funky sherry, nice!

A: clear-hazy amber, thin, off-white head.
A: green tea leaves, mocha biscuit, hazelnut, apricot.
T: sweetish plum & apricot, bitter coffee, tea.
F: earthy hops, citrus peel, coffee, soime brown soap.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Bit harsh in bitterness, otherwise okay.

Can from Beer Republic.
A: hazy red, quickly thinning, pink head.
A: passion fruit, strawberry yoghurt, red jam on white bread, red candy.
T: sweet-sour raspberry, strawberry jam, white bread, powdered sugar.
F: tart passion fruit & raspberry, some candy-like strawberry.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
It does show some real fruity tartness, but there's too much of that Rouge-like candy flavour as well.
