12 April 2025. At LOC Brewery, Tilburg. Cheers to mom, dad & Anke!

Clear amber. Red apple, hard caramel, biscuit, rye. Sweetish red apple, bitter nuts & biscuit. Herbal hops, apple peel, yeast. Light to medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Falls a bit flat, but quite okay.

11 April 2025. Bottle from Gedeelde Vreugde. Brewed: 11/9/2020. Bottled: 16/7/2021.

Hazy brown, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of date, prune, fig, gingerbread, cinnamon, carré confiture, biscuit, caramel, liqueur, sweet whisky. Taste has sweet prune, date & pear with a sourish berry-like undercurrent within a caramelly, biscuity, jam-like malt body, bit herbal on the side too. Earthy hops in the finish, lingering dried fruits, slightly woody & oxidised but maintaining the base flavour; dash of warming sweet whisky alcohol in the very end. Medium body, thin syrupy texture, soft carbonation. A delicate, subtle treat, but slightly too oxidised.

75cl bottle from the brewery. Hazy brown, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of raisin, fig, red grape, citrus zest, liqueur, carré confiture, musty wood, vague Grand Marnier. Taste has sourish raisin, grape and brambleberry in a sweetish jam-like & caramelly malt body with citrusy edges. Tart finish of berries, some woody tannins too and warming liqueur-like alcohol. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. The Bock-like malt body falls a bit flat and overall it feels oxidized, even infected. Not a lot of Grand Marnier either to add extra depth. Too bad, I expected much more.

Can from Gedeelde Vreugde.
A: hazy ochre, stable, foamy, off-white head.
A: canned pineapple, lychee, dried orange peel, chlorine, onion, triple sec.
T: sweet pineapple & lychee, bitter orange peel, onion, bit cheesy.
F: floral hops, juicy tropical fruit, bitter orange peel, warming triple sec-like alcohol.
P: medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Tasty.

Bottle from Hopduvel.
A: clear brown, small, foamy, tan head.
A: blackcurrant, brambleberry, vinegar, leather.
T: sour blackcurrant, nectarine stone, cherry, vinegar.
F: tart berries, woody tannins.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Clean, fruity and tart.
