Watery, but somewhat grainy and vaguely hoppy so okayish.

Guessing this is 5yrs old? Cloudy black, unstable, frothy, beige head. Aroma of bourbon, green apple, vanilla bean, shoe polish, dark fudge, chocolate sauce, black olive. Taste has sweet fig & date in a thick dark-chocolatey, dark fudge-like malt body surrounded by bitter coffee and umami olive. Peppery hops in the finish, lingering vanilla (oak), sweetened dark chocolate and warming bourbon alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Exemplary BBA; clearly the groundwork for all those Brambrass iterations to come.
Guessing this is 5yrs old? Cloudy black, thin, frothy, beige head. Aroma of black olive, teriyaki, old fondant, liquorice, beef jerky, cold coffee, charred wood. Taste has sweetish brambleberry, bitter coffee & toast, quite a lot of umami soy & black olive, some herbal notes too. Soft herbal & peppery hops, immediately drowned again by coffee, umami olive and fondant maltiness and a dash of warming vodka-like alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. All the characteristics of an aged Stout, quite enjoyable.
A: cloudy black, stable, foamy, beige head.
A: charcoal, toast, earth, fried mushroom, grapefruit peel.
T: sweetish brambleberry, bitter toast, grapefruit, bit umami.
F: earthy & piney hops, bitter grapefruit, roasted coffee, toast.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Quite good, despite the middle-of-the-road hop profile. Nice to see that a relatively niche beer style (and still relatively well executed at that) was chosen to celebrate a launch in one of the most commercial game series ever.
