I don't really tick much nowadays. Still enjoy a decent beer just as much, along with the community that Ratebeer originally built.

I've not moved to that popular app and never will - It's become a monopoly which is having too much influence on today's craft beer scene.

Really nice place. Out of the center but not too far, it’s a fairly small but not too small taproom right by the brewery. You go upstairs through a small bottle shop to the taproom with windows over the brewery. In the bar there’s games available along with a Streetfilghter 2 arcade machine on free play for a bit of fun. There’s a decent selection of their beers on tap and as seems to be usual around here, you either get a flight or a pint. Small glasses are too expensive. The beer is fantastic though. I had a couple of IPAs and then a flight of the BA Impies and all were between good and great. Service was great and friendly too as was the local crowd there. Absolutely a top place for Quebec City.

Draft at the source. Black with no head. Aroma of bourbon upfront with oak barrel, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and toffee. Flavour is heavy sweet. Too sweet for me. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at the brewpub. Black with a ring beige head. Aroma shows off the Laphroigh as expected. Peaty, smokey, seaweed notes, along with woody barrel notes, dark chocolate, toffee and coffee. Well balanced even though a Laphroig BA is usually quite overpowering. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at the source. Black with pretty much no head. Aroma is massive bourbon upfront, but not in a bad way, oak barrel, vanilla, milk chocolate, fudge notes coming out. Wow this is lovely! Flavour is light heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at the source. Very hazy orange juice appearance with a white head. Aroma of dank hops upfront with nice tropical fruity notes of starfruit, lychee and citrus behind. Light moderate sweet and moderate bitter in the flavour ending in lovely juiciness that makes your mouth water. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lovely!
