440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Newton Pale Ale, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 5.2%. Amber to brown colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of citric and piney hops, some caramel or crystal malts. The flavour has the same elements, dry finish with a fairly distinct resinous bitterness.

330 ml red waxed bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 8.4%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of dark malts, oak, Irish whiskey and Bourbon whiskey. Flavour of roast malts, oak, said whiskeys and moderate bittering hops. Good beer.

Pleasant aroma of citrus, peaches, apricots and pineapple. Citric mouthfeel and flavour, notes of said fruits again. A hint of pine needles, moderate bitterness.
