750 ml corked & caged bottle in wooden box, vintage 2023, bottle No. 22910, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 11%, 35 EBU. Dark reddish brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of oak, port wine, molasses and brandy, hints of cellar and dark dried fruits. Excellent flavour with mainly the same elements, also notes of chocolate, low bitterness. Warming mouthfeel.

330 ml bottle, as Beauregard Espresso Corsé Bière de Glace Cuvée 2025, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 18%. Pitch black colour, surprisingly heavy carbonation, huge beige head which takes a long time to settle. Aroma of roast malts, espresso coffee (no surprise), hints of unsweetened liquorice and dark bitter chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, also distinct bittering hops. Intense stuff, the bottle should be shared by 2 persons.

330 ml bottle, as Beauregard Baba au Rhum Barley Wine de Glace Cuvee 2025, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 17%. Hazy brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of oak and rum-raisin, also hints of other dark dried fruits. Sweet flavour as expected, but not cloying, with the same elements as the aroma, but also an astonishing sharp bitterness throughout. Apparently the freeze distilling has also concentrated the hop bitterness. Definitely something out of the ordinary, and it is not a shame to share the bottle between 2 persons.

330 ml can, as Vik Gooseberry Devil Gose, from Left Field Beer. ABV is 4.5%. Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of lactic acid, hints of seawater and crushed gooseberries. Sour flavour of lactic acid and green gooseberries, a pinch of salt.

500 ml can, as Rivington Too Much Hop TDH IPA, from Left Field Beer. ABV is 6.0%. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of peaches / nectarine, pineapple, melon and papaya. Flavour of citrus and said fruits, also notes of pine needles. Not too sweet. Moderate to low bitterness. Good beer.

440 ml can, as Polly's Little Fictions Imperial Fruited Gose, from Left Field Beer. ABV is 6.0%. Dark red to purple colour, moderate pink head. Aroma of blackcurrants, raspberries and lime. Medium sour flavour with notes of the same fruits, also lactic acid and a pinch of salt.

440 ml can, as Pentrich Buried Slice Raspberry & Blackberry Cheesecake Sour, from Left Field Beer. ABV is 5.5%. Hazy red to purple colour, small and shortlived pink head. Distinct aroma of raspberry and blackberry cheesecake, also lactic acid, no surprises there. Sour flavour with the same elements, also hints of lemons.
