Shared can at Mandag i Annen; Cardinal. ABV is 8%. Matured in bourbon barrels of American oak, and Cabernet barrels of French oak. Brown colour, small off-white head. The aroma and flavour have of course notes of cocoa and chocolate, but it is well balanced, not overdone. Distinct notes of bourbon whiskey, oak and vanilla, but also notes of red wine. Decent hops. Harmonious and sophisticated.

440 ml can, as Nøisom Limited Edition No 11 Amerikansk Pale Ale, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 5.5%. Golden to orange colour, nearly clear. Moderate white head. Pleasant and very well balanced aroma and flavour, notes of toffee, pine and orange marmalade, but not too sweet. Good bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Shared can at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal. ABV is 9%. Beige to orange colour, moderate head. Pleasant spicy, citric and piney aroma and flavour, notes of catnip. Very good beer.

Shared can at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour. Aroma and fairly dry flavour of citrus, pine and newmown grass, a hint of chives. Good bitterness.

Shared can at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal. ABV is 7.2%. Very pale straw colour, remarkably pale for an IPA. Moderate white head. Citric and piney aroma and flavour, good bitterness. A very nice IPA.

Shared can at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.1%. Reddish amber colour, moderate off-white head. The name does not lie: Both the aroma and the flavour have notes of blackberries, blueberries and vanilla, the lactose is there, but the beer is not overly sweet. There are also citric notes (pomelo) with a fairly distinct grapefruity bitterness in the finish. Unusual and interesting.

Shared can at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 3.5%. Pink colour, moderate off-white to pink head. Aroma and flavour of raspberries, not too sweet, and not extremely sour either. Light bodied. Okay as a summer refreshment.

440 ml can, as Salikatt Cat Leap New England IPA, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 6.5%. Opaque yellow colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of citrus, pine and spruce, a hint of tomcat. Fizzy and citric mouthfeel. Piney and grapefruity flavour, a certain hopburn, good bitterness.

440 ml can, as Salikatt Hopyard New England IPA, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 7.0%. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, pine needles and sprucetips, also hints of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits. The flavour has the same elements. Good beer.

375 ml green bottle, as Pomona Island Crusta Whiskey Sour, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11%. Brownish golden colour, minimal carbonation, no proper head. Aroma of lemons, lactic acid, bourbon whiskey, vanilla and oak. Very sour but also very sweet flavour, lots of lactose and otherwise the same elements as the aroma. Won't buy again.
