Straw yellow with a fizzy head. Full tart profile, acidity, green apple, wet malt, and lemony citrus. Very tart and acidic. Dry finish that lingers with the tangy tart profile. Nice beer.

75cl bottle (2020 version) on the train from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth on Saturday 27th April 2024, Jolly Boys Outing! Started off clear, but the sediment joined in on the second pour, wispy head. Sour without being too cheek sucking, farmyard and apples came to mind as I sipped my share (which was pretty large).

Moderately sharp acidity, soft vinegar notes. Ripe fruit underneath. Touches of citrus and sour apricot. Funky yeasty touch. Some honey, some bread. Hints of glue. Light to medium body, some honey and fruity sweetness. Moderate sourness. Thin. Funky barnyard. Dry finish. Moderate bitterness. Slightly lacks complexity.

375mL bottled 2022, drunk 11/9/23. Clear, bright, copper-brass-golden. Large, carbonation-bolstered, off-white head. Soft and bretty with a bit of aspartame-like character and some soft, round oak. Reminds me a lot of Oude Beersel, though more overt, bright Brett. There's that weird cellar mustiness that you get from Boon and that mousiness, as well. Seems very malty, also much in the Boon vein. Clean, though. Lots of Brett is a highlight. In the mouth it's very soft, supple, malty. Brett-forward notes with super low lactic and no acetic. Just enough quenching acidity on the finish to balance, with tight carbonation, almost creamy-like. Actually, I take that back, it does contain enough lactic acidity, growing stronger on the finish with warming and breathing. Nice. Approachable but still with enough assertive acidity and you have to love the namesake Brett here. Good, round, gentle oak.

Pale amber with slight haze. Thin head. Big pedio nose. There's a ton of leather, lemony notes. Fair bit of malt, lots of funk coming through. A damn solid gueuze with good complexity. Lemon and leather and really nice funk to this. Nice gueuze.

Sampled 2023. pours hazed blonde, no real head. Scent is malty, full, finer acidity. Taste is full, malty, de troch lambic - like. moldy, finer acidity yet very rough , old wet wood. Mild citrus. not a lot of carbonation.
2023 apparently. Less oak more funk than the young.
