On tap @ BPBW Saturday session. It has been one of the biggest surprises of the festival for me. It was surprisingly salty, with a definite touch of smoke, earty notes and the whiskey comes through nicely too. Delicious and full of flavour, especially for the ABV.

Sample@Ølfestival København 2018 - pours black with a beige head. Roasted and sweet malty, slight burnt dark malty accents, with chocolate, coffee, caramel, cocoa, hoppy support, medium body, whisky notes into the roasted finish.

Draught @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Pours black with a creamy brown head, lacings. Aroma of roasted malt. Light chocolate, wood, peat, smoke, Laphroaig. Flavor is light smoked, light sour, malt, coffee, wet wood, oak, peaty, whisky. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation, light warming finish. 310818

Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of smoke, iodine, roasted malt, chocolate, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, bread, smoke, whiskey, and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle at KØ18. Peaty aroma. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is peaty. Nicely roasted and with a salty finish. Oily mouthfeel.

Sampled from tap at BPBW 2018. Pitch black with a beige head. Slightly sweetish, roasty-malty and quite smoky aroma of dark chocolate, seaweed, iodine and tar. Slightly sweet, malty, roasty-dry and quite smoky taste of dark chocolate, iodine, seaweed, tar and some coffee, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, fairly smoky and medicinal finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!
