Bottle from the source. Cloudy orange pour, with a small white head. Loads of smoke, but also quite fruity. Apricots, and figs, with nots of camels and scotch. Full mouth feel, soft carb. Soft medium bitterness, semi sweet, more fruit with a punch of campfire, and pine resin.

Bottle @ Patricks. Another interesting and well brewed beer from this Canadien brewery. Unclear golden under a medium sized off-white head. Aroma has malt, peat, smoked ham and some generic fruit. Taste is as expected from aroma, sweet malt, nice peat, smoke, ham etc. A nice well made, balanced Rauchbier.

Small off-white head over yellow-copper beer, end of bottle veiled. Intense phenolic, sulphur indeed, some harsh herb. Again lot of phenols, some underlying sweetness, which definitely sits not right with the phenols. Mineral, sulphur, lightly phosphorous acidity. Medium, pretty oily feel, medium to good carbonation, hides the alcohol terribly well. The name tête d'allumette is spot on, it is as if matches are dissolved in this.

10 August 2019. At Belgian Beer Geek Tasting. Cheers to the crew, thanks for hosting, Tim! Clear orange, lasting, thin, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of green olive, smoked ham, cheese, peat, rubber, wet tobacco, something chemical, paint-like. Taste is light malty sweet, restrained apple & pear on a biscuity & bready base; quite peated with a hint of olive & bitter pepper, herbs & orange peel. Dryish, earthy hoppy finish, lingering spices & peat, some warming alcohol hinting at dry vermouth. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Doesn't really work for me.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of lightly smoked malt with some caramelized notes and light grainy notes is quite interesting. Taste is also a great mix of caramelized malt with balanced residual sugar with some light smokey notes with light grainy finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation with no real apparent alcohol notes. Good level of balance between flavors with good drinkability.

Draft. Clear golden color, big fluffy white head. I wish I could read my handwriting better, but it looks like I wrote aroma of burnt feet. Not sure what that would smell like. Taste is earthy sweet burnt pumpkin, dry finish. Maybe feet should be fruit. That sounds better.
