fluffy, well laced white head on a rich amber body. Nose has some rye spice pop, citrus hops and caramel malt. A right-on blend of rye ipa elements. Lots of fresh kick to the rye spice element, citrus hops, caramel malt and a touch of pepper. Superior.

Deep copper coloured body with a nice orange and amber tint, all with a relatively thick three centimetre tall off-white and tan head that coats this beer nicely. Aroma of deep robust piney, grassy and very herbal hops that show some of the bitterness immediately, but also a good dose of malts and yeast come right behind and lend a nice backbone, while there is a touch of graininess as well as some yeast that comes through the cracks. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong herbal and perfumey hop bite at first that gives a lot of bitterness, but the depth and range of the malts from grainy to almost biscuity and ending with a bready finish really give some underlying complexity to more than just the hops. Aftertaste shows some pungent alcohol, which is definitely noticeable here, as well as the bready, yeastie and grainy flavours that really come through towards the end and perhaps show more than the herbal and grassy hop elements here. Overall, a nice Imperial IPA that has almost as much flavour and complexity from the malt than the hops do. I sampled this twelve ounce pour on draught at Kloby's Smokehouse in Columbia, Maryland on 21-July-2018 for US$7,50 sampled while enjoying some nice barbecue at the restaurant.

Can drunk 5/27/18.
Dark amber-bronze-golden, slightly hazy, with an off-white head atop that is large and well-retained.
Smells bready and oxidized with tons of specialty malts, nutty rye, caramel and marmalade-like C-hops. Very estery with tons of fruitiness and light alcohol sharpness.
Overly estery, dry, seems like it's still been fermenting in the can, and definitely oxidizing. Very dry on the end with light resin and booze. Heavy carbonation, lots of bread, nuts, caramel, etc...Pine and orange don't exactly wow, as far as hop notes go.

Tao at The Oasis as I say farewell to this place. Solid, but nothing really stood out and the rye didn’t really show.

Pine and some citrus. Can I had wasn't exactly fresh but still holds up pretty good like the tower in Pisa. Amber with decent head. Bitter finish with a bit of caramel. Can.

Shared can. Pours a cloudy copper hue with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, caramel, biting rye. Good stuff.

Pours a dark amber from a tap. Big melange of citrus pine and mango in the nose, flavor similar built over a caramel sweet malt backbone with a slight bitter finish at the very end. Pretty good beer.
