Solid porter! Good, rich malts, nice cocoa notes, with some nuttiness, and subtle hops. Great mouthfeel and carb. Finish is medium bitter with loads of nutty and chocolatey goodness.

500ml brown bottle from the LCBO that pours a very slight hazed, darker copper colour with amber highlights. The frothy head is beige, stays a little and some watery foam lacing runs down the glass. Fruity nose with apples, dark fruits notes over the roasted malts and hints of warming alcohol. The taste shows a balance of dark fruits with the hops that cut the sweetness. The oats are very light in here, was expecting more lactose breakfasty. A good stronger porter.

On tap at Indie Alehouse, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, earthy notes, and coffee. Flavour is full of coffee upfront, with earthy notes, and biscuity malt. Nice coffee character here that amps it up. Nice stuff.

Sampled during St Crispin's Day Feast, paired with rye and seeded nut toast, fried scone, hopped honey, rabbit rillette, white turnip mustard, black plum jelly, spiced pepitas, herb butter. The beer itself was dark clear brown, roasty coffee ground aroma and a soft roast taste with a dry finish.

On tap at Indie. Pours black with an off-white head. Rich coffee aroma with notes of cocoa and dark fruit, toffee. Roasty coffee flavor turning into toffee, chocolate, and dark fruit. Really pretty impressed with this one; took a couple bottles home.
