Hazy amber pour, tiny quickly dissipating head. Noticeable lactic sour nose, with some upfront pumpkin pie spices. The spice arnt smashing you in the face though, they are there, but as subtle. Cinnamon, cardamon, nutmeg, all present, but still soft. Mouth feel is watery, carb is almost flat. Finish is tart, and sour, and the spices add a herbal dryness. The spices again are present, but subtle and not over powering at all. The sour, is actually well balanced with the spice, I’m very surprised. This isn’t bad at all.

First beer of the Cask Days trip, draft at Bryden's. Cloudy yellow color. Aroma of spiced sourdough bread. Taste is softly sour cinnamon and citrus. Works somehow. Easily the best sour pumpkin beer of the trip so far.

Can: Poured alight hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head. Aroma of tart notes with some cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is a mix of citrus tart notes with some cinnamon and nutmeg with a thin finish. Body is light with OK carbonation. Quite a bad mix from a usually very solid brewery.

A hazed amber saison with a very thin off white head. In aroma, weird mix of pumpkin spices, cloves, ginger, and acidity. In mouth, a weird herbaceous saison, with ginger, cloves, light mineral notes, light lactic notes, weird and somewhat unpleasant. Can from LCBO.

Pours a cloudy golden-amber colour with a fizzy off-white head that disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Sour aromas with pumpkin pie spices and light grassiness. The taste is also a mix of the sourness and spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, all spices). Notes of yeast. Not too sour though, but well-blended overall. A real interesting twist on the pumpkin brews.

This pumpkin Saison poured a cloudy, medium amber colour with a fastly dissipating, foamy off white head. Scents include club soda, allspice and a little ripe fruit. First taste was a little thin but full of flavour. Tastes of pumpkin, spice and a salty sour flavour. Quite sour to the palate, and the spice flavourings linger on the tongue. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from the LCBO. Despite my usual loathing of the annual pumpkin spice migration across the beer shelves I decided to see what Collective Arts could do with it. Pours clear amber with a very active short lived white head. Despite the active carbonation, the nose is quite subdued with some yeast, light nutmeg and ginger as well as a light bread. The tartness actually balances the spice and doesn’t allow it to become overbearing. Pretty well balanced throughout. Mouth is slightly thin with prickly carbonation. Definitely bearable but no need to revisit. 7/3/7+/3+/14-
