Bambergs Spezialität als helle Sonderedition
Gebraut mit einem helleren Schlenkerla Rauchmalz, das wie beim klassischen Märzen über offenem Buchenholz geräuchert wird. So erhält das Bier eine leuchtende Bernsteinfärbung und das typische Aroma der Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbiere, das Liebhaber in aller Welt so schätzen. Im Geschmack ist es etwas sanfter als das klassische Märzen, mit trotzdem sehr deutlich ausgeprägtem Raucharoma.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! Consumed at Mum and Keith's, Kempsey nr Worcester, Sunday 19th October 2025 after a drive from Spond, Herefordshire. Pours hazy mid amber with a mid sized white head that soon departed. Nice in the mouth, smokey, fruity and with a nice tang. Nice woodiness, smokey with a little meaty edge, notably a bacon nose and light bacon touch in the mouth. Very good but slightly preferred the Grodsiskie.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station, I think... It pours clear chestnut brown with a lasting, fluffy, the yellowy - white head. The aroma is smooth, bitter - sweet, lovely rich smoked, smoked meats, smokey bacon crisps, honey glazed ham, touch of toffee, brown bread and smoked oak. The taste is rich smoked upfront, smooth, charred oak, smoked meats, bitter - sweet character throughout, cola cooked gammon, brown bread, touch of malt loaf, bonfire embers, bitterness lingers throughout, touch of tannin and toasty spice. Finish is bitter - sweet with smooth, lingering smoke. Great. I am beginning to think these guys know how to make smoked beers.... 🫠

500ml bottle online from Rad Beer. Pours clear amber with a tight head of pale tan foam. Sweet malts, caramel, smokey bacon, frazzles. Light sweet & light to moderate bitterness. Super clean. Medium body with fine carbonation. Plenty smokey but it's got great balance. Magnificent.

Bottle at home, 27th September 2025. Pours a chestnut brown. Aroma is meaty and heavy with smoke, malts. Taste is very smokey, bittersweet, meaty, barbecue, lovely gear
Almost clear,.Amber color and a White head. Smokey,, bonfire, decent sweetness. Taste of smokey saussages, ardbeg at bonfire and a nice liqurice sweetness.

(Bottle, 0.5l, thanks VastActiv, at VastActiv, 20250912) The beer poured deep amber and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had smoke, molasses, grass and grilled sausage. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grilled sausage, bacon, grass, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste had smoke, molasses and bitterness. Tasty.

"Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Helles Märzen (Special Edition)", "unflitriert", Flasche von biere-aus-franken.de, 7.9.2025. - Kupferrot, schwach trüb. - In der Nase die Schlenkerla-typischen Raucharomen, Schinken und Räucherfisch, leise Züge von Toastmalz, feine Karamelsüße, blaß zitrusfruchtige Herbe. - Im Antrunk fein wienermalzig, solide rauchig und mild-aromatisch zitronenschalig hopfenherb. Zarte Süße, ein Hauch von Honig. Etwas stärker rezent als nötig, für ein Märzen etwas dünn, auch hart im Mund. Im Abgang rauchig malzbitter und schön trocken zitronig hopfenherb. - Im Geschmack ein wenig leichter als das reguläre, dunkle Märzen aber ebenso überzeugend.
