Bambergs Spezialität als helle Sonderedition
Gebraut mit einem helleren Schlenkerla Rauchmalz, das wie beim klassischen Märzen über offenem Buchenholz geräuchert wird. So erhält das Bier eine leuchtende Bernsteinfärbung und das typische Aroma der Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbiere, das Liebhaber in aller Welt so schätzen. Im Geschmack ist es etwas sanfter als das klassische Märzen, mit trotzdem sehr deutlich ausgeprägtem Raucharoma.

Bottle (Cellars Bentleigh). Dirty amber with a 2cm off white head. Light sweet smoke, bread, soft herbal notes. Lively, maybe a bit too fizzy. More delicate smoke works because the beer lacks the grunt of the normal Märzen. Still, pretty deep with a long, smokey bitter finish.

Cloudy amber with large light tan head and moderate effervescence. Smoked ham, orange, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Moderately sweet ham, orange, caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body.

500 ml can. Pale amber color, clear, with a tall head. Typical smoky nose, without the malty depth, caramel or chocolate nites. Quite bitter and dry, smoky of course , with bread and crackers. Light body. Overall impression is Dry and bitter and lacking the sweetness and depth of the Marzen. Good, but not as enjoyable.

Flaska från luckan på bryggerirestaurangen i Bamberg. Ljusgul lätt disig vätska med högt skum. Lätt kropp och lättdrucken men med en riktigt kärv rökighet med lägereld, askfat och chark. Mycket karaktär och mycket gott

Paler than the regular, slight haze. Big head. Massive beechsmoke aroma. Rich, maybe thinner and yeastier, still lots of smoke. Strong CO2 pour feels more American.

Clear slightly amber to reddish beer, big solid creamy irregular beige to yellowish head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lovely, very smoky, intense, gentle roast, a bit malty, grains, pleasant! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lovely, very smoky, gentle roast, a bit medicinal maybe, bitter, chemical smoky touch (almost peated). Aftertaste: more roast, smoky, bitter, a bit chemical in the finish as well.

Arôme est toujours autant plaisant, fumé, cara pâle, biscuité, petite note chocolaté avec un houblonné qui procure de fins effluves d'agrumes et floral.
Palais garde ce caractère fumé - bacon au fumoir, jambon braisé, le tout avec une belle base de malts - caramel, biscuité, léger toasté le tout avec un houblonné délicat qui apporte une belle balance d'amertume - tirant à la fois sur le floral, et léger fruité noble avec un effet presque herbes aromatiques. Je note aussi un impact fruité noir des malts
