16oz can pours a neon gold with some white head. Nose is a bit fake, big flowers and honey, zippy lime and candy, fake orange too, perfume. Flavor is bitter, malt, honey but also a weird pickle too. Big, bitter finish. 6 3 6 2 10.

16oz can at the late December DC RB Tasting. Poured a golden orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was muted pine, grapefruit, sweet malts. Flavor was resinous hop bitterness, alcohol covered quite well. Showing a bit of age on this one, but it's still holding up as a more malt-forward classic DIPA.

can - Golden-orange pour with a lasting head that laces well. The aroma has lots of citrus hops and some resin. Flavor is bitter with prominent citrus and some pine. Full bodied. Bitter finish. Really good.

Can. Deep clear gold with a loosish white head. Aroma is of a melange of citrus - mainly orange and grapefruit, also lime leaf - with bread crust and dope residue, some pine needles. Not novel but good. Moderately sweet with light bread and a little biscuit filling things out a bit. Very clean with lots of citrus. Bitterness is medium high. Good.

Nice and ever so slightly hazy perfectly copper and peach coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of crisp lemons, citrus, pine and a dose of bubblegum and some floral elements as well - nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal flavours at first with a nice dose of hops, but nothing bitter at all, and a moderate to light malt backbone makes this almost drink as a regular IPA or even a robust APA! Aftertaste is very dry, herbal, grassy and slightly citrusey with some fruits and hops coming through, all with a dash of herbs and alcohol at the tail end. Overall, a refreshing and relatively light Imperial IPA that drinks as if a standard IPA or less, and shows some moderate complex notes and a simplistic malt profile. Nice to sample and a good beer, but not great...this is a good example of a beer that isn't what the label says, in a good way. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 12-August-2017 for US$25,99/twelve pack, sampled at home in Washington on 22-September-2017.
