330ml can from Saveur-Biere. Pours black in colour with a beige head of large bubbles that quickly collapses. Nose is burnt dark malt, tobacco, coffee, bitter chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, ash, dark chocolate, coffee, sweet lacto, with dried fruits, liqourice and dusty bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast malty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can. Murky brown, close to black colour with a big beige fluffy head. Leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and some slight liquorice notes as well. Flavour is quite similar, but also has a slight lactic edge to it. Quite sweet overall, even though the finish is really strongly roasted coffee.

330 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.9%. Nearly black colour, large beige head. Moderately roasty aroma of coffee and chocolate. Flavour mid between dry and sweet, roasty with coffee and chocolate again. Moderately bitter finish.

Brewery tick #3143. Dark brown head, tiny brownish head. Strong aroma of coffee, chocolate, dark bread and lactose sweetness. Medium-bodied. Lots of coffee, some cocoa, walnut, toasted malts and then lactose sweetness. I would say this is more a sweet stout than porter. I am not so big fan of sweetness-coffee-combo in my beer.

Taste of rich dark malts, good quality coffee roast, not too much of it

Fra 0,33 boks på Mi2, Cardinal, april-16: mørkebrun med ok skum. Mørk sjokolade, vanilje og lettbrent kaffe i en elegant balansert aroma og smak. Perfekt kalibrert bitterhet gjør at den er slank og glir sorgløst over drøvelen. Dette er en god aften i lag med gode venner. Og forpakningen gjør den særdeles velegnet til turbruk!
