Sour ale aged in wine barrels with strawberries. A celebration of the summer harvest, this blond sour ale is loaded with Coastal Seascape Strawberries grown at Dirty Girl Farms in California’s santa Cruz Mountains. These delicious berries are swept by cool evening ocean breezes and drenched in warm daytime sun before being hand-picked and added to this tart and refreshing ale. Enjoy paired with classic charcuterie and summer salads.

Keg tap at CBC Covent Garden. Rose/pink with no head, however there is a tiny bit of visible carbonation. Guava, mothballs, champagne vinegar on the nose. Taste is sour, sour, sour. Vinous, fruity and intense. Nicely carbonated palate. Too much alcohol to be refreshing, but it’s a lovely experience.

37.5cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Omgrich.

Thanks to omgrich! 375 ml. bottle split by 4. Hazy orange, little bubbles. Nose is puckering lemon, typical USA sour profile, lactic, acidic wood, strawberry is barely there & strongly sour in its profile,… Taste is puckering, strongly sour, sour lemon, typical strong USA sour profile, wood, tart, strawberry is strongly sour in the back & rather light,… Puckering body,… Typical USA sour, rather big on sourness, good but lacks complexity & it is overly sour. I expected more honestly.

Cloudy orange beer, small aery white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: little fruity, sweet touch, bit funky, not sure if I would guess strawberry, but ok. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour, vinegar, some chlorine, lemony, acidic. Aftertaste: very sour, lemony, vinegar, chlorine again, bit funky, bitter tannins, dry, some overripe to rotting fruits. Meh.

Pours hazy, kind of looks like apple juice or koduõlu. Aroma is very sour, beautiful acidity. Fruity, fragrant, and sour and refreshing. Aftertaste has some lingering acidity. Good stuff, great for summer.

Hazy golden color. No head. Big sour brett nose with only slight hint of strawberries, with some oak. Big sour mouth, puckering sourness, big buttery oakiness, a bit watery mouth with some lingering oak and vanilla. Lovely.

Poured into a taster showing cloudy honey center with translucent rims and very sparse foam. The nose shows light notes of vanilla and brett background. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. A clear oak/vanilla background shows throughout but maintains a highly tart profile.
