Bottle, not sure why I never rated this back in the day. This wasn't bad. Had a lot of odd, floral blueberry character but the sorghum provides plenty of body. As far as saison character, it's rather Americanized, with quite a bit of clove and bubble gum.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a hazy burnt orange almost amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that slid off faintly.
The aroma had some hay, grassy dryness, slight skunkiness, light clove, some bubblegum, and some white pepper.
The flavor took the previously mentioned aromas to blend together gently. Slight aftertaste of hay and grassy dryness. Light earthy/grassy finish.
The feel was about light bodied, maybe a touch above. Great sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, well, it is gluten free and honestly, if I was a celiac, I wouldn’t mind having to drink this one. I know \"gluten-free\" beers aren’t a true accepted style by ratebeer or even BJCP but hey, with this one, I say who cares, drink up and be happy.

Bottle from BottleSelect.com. Pours hazy amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma is sort of lightly spiced light stone fruit. Near med body. Flavor is spice and some sort of citrus. Meh. It’s a little gluey in flavor. Maybe even in texture. Finishes a little bit peppery/spicy.

Bottle. Pours murky yellow orange with white head. Nose and taste of yeast, old dried fruit and gluten free wheat. Medium body.

Pours a dark orange, brownish. Quite cloudy. Not much head kicked upon the initial pour, but I was able to kick some up with a few swirls. Small, dissipating head, beige in color - kinda yellow in an odd way. Not a ton of aroma. I’m picking up the orange peel. Some mildly gummy grain sweetness. The taste is rather clean for a gluten free beer, but there isn’t much character. Quite dry which probably helps avoid the off notes I’ve noticed in other sorghum beers. The orange peel is probably the strongest flavor, though there’s also some pepper to it. Touches of other spice as well, probably from the yeast. Mouthfeel is a touch gummy but better than almost any other gluten free that I’ve tried. This is decent but I expected more. I feel like the orange peel is covering flaws.

Hazy golden honey coloured body with a thin, half a centimetre tall white head. Aroma of something horribly pungent, some wet dog, cardboard, yeast, resin, and perhaps a hint of coriander seed - but this one smells pretty foul. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent cheese and bitter metal flavours at first with an awful medicinal finish and a deep unpleasant bitterness at the end. Aftertaste is just as bad with the bitterness from metal or medicine coming strong and hard, a hint of alcohol and a little bit of coriander seed, but nothing good at all. Overall, a very bad beer - even for a gluten free beer - not sure what award this beer won (from description), but it is one of the worst i’ve ever sampled after spending so much for the bottle! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 11-December-2012 for US$3.00 sampled at home in Washington on 27-January-2013.

Peculier Pub, NY bottle ($6): Pour is golden with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is saison funk. Taste is a bit funky too with citrus touches. It has a little bit of hop bitterness as well. If this wasn’t advertised as such, I would not have known that this was a gluten-free beer, except for perhaps the appearance.
