Can. Orange-amber in color with a two finger head. Aroma is fruity and spruce. Taste is caramel upfront, grains and fruity in the middle with a pine bitter finish. Alcohol an sneak upon you.

A dark copper imperial ipa with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous character, alcohol warmth, resinous hops, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, resinous hops, alcohol warmth, very nice.

Since no reviews of the Problem Solver have been posted for nine months, that means this can's either super-fresh or super-old. No dating on the bottom, so who knows? Doesn't matter; either way, this brew's one harsh, astringent beast. a massive booze-bomb full of wet malt funkiness and a white-hot back end. Mild citric hop notes are no match for the giant caramel-and-damp-grain backbone, while the finish turns simultaneously cloying, bitter and fierce, the liquor burn announcing every last digit of the 11.5% ABV. Pours a pretty orange with a permanent off-white head, but the nose is musty cardboard and alcohol. Just a brutal pint.

Slightly hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, single to two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of honey, resin, malt, alcohol, grain and earthy scents. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich malty and super earthy flavour with a bunch of metallic and astringent pungency throughout with a big grain flavour, bunches of alcohol and a dose of pure honey sweetness near the end - very strong, slightly sweet and pungent throughout, especially in terms of the alcohol warmth felt at the end. Aftertaste shows the pungency throughout with the resin, hop and deep flavours that are seen throughout this beer, but come out even stronger at the end. Overall, a strong and quite pungent Imperial IPA with some decent flavours, just a bit too astringent and strong throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Grape Vine in Fort Mill, South Carolina on 21-August-2017 for US$1,70 after watching the Eclipse jin South Carolina, sampled back at home in Washington on 06-November-2017.

Undated can: Buttered toast, pencil shavings, tea nose. Cloudy copper, medium yellow head. Sweet tea, wood, dried leaves, somewhat vegetal. Full body, easy carbonation. Drinks like a barleywine that didn’t respond well to aging.

Keg at Craft 100 - Craft Beer Co. Clapham, London. Pours mostly clear orange with a creamy, off-white head. The nose holds lightly toasted pale malts, subtle aged pine, ripe citrus. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with rich bread, alcohol, pine and mango. Full bodied and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming and resinous on the finish, with more ripe fruits, melon. Hearty stuff.
